Dear Sir,
Integrated teaching has been regarded as one of the approaches to neutralize the deficiencies associated with the traditional mode of curricular delivery.[1] It has been realized that the current delivery of medical education in India does not empower medical students to understand the patient as a whole.[1],[2] Further, it is left to the abilities of the medical students to establish links between the various subjects taught and use the same for the diagnosis, care, and management of the patient.[1] Integrated teaching has emerged as a solution to the existing shortcomings, provided the entire process, right from its conception, planning, implementation, and evaluation, has been done systematically.[1],[2]
The curriculum committee of the medical college should plan the entire teaching program in collaboration with the Medical Education Unit and support from all the concerned departments.[1],[3] However, to ensure that the integrated teaching program is implemented smoothly, development of a module for the same can help immensely.[4] Even though various models are available for the development of any program, considering the universality and the user-friendly nature, we will stick with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation Model for the development of an integrated teaching program module.[4] The details of the model are described in [Table 1].[1],[2],[3],[4] | Table 1: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation Model for the integrated teaching program

To conclude, integrated teaching can ensure that the learning is comprehensive. However, the presence of a module will certainly streamline all the existing concerns.
